Embroidery

Embroidery is the decorating technique of choice for many garments. It can be done on any fabric from silk to heavy canvas or leather. Embroidery gives the finished product both texture and appeal and can be done in a beautiful array of colors. Embroidery is a high quality, long lasting decorating technique and will add interest to any garment.

In order to embroider a garment, a computerized design must be created, which controls what the machine will sew.  This process is called digitizing and is done when a customer needs a specific logo, image or type style duplicated.  Down Under Design has been creating digitized designs since 1994.

Our talented staff of experienced digitizers can advise you on the suitability of your logo for embroidery. They may suggest minor alterations to your design to create a top quality embroidered image on your selected apparel.

The most common placement for an embroidered logo on a garment is the left chest area. However, other locations are also used including the back neck or yoke, either sleeve, center or right chest, cuff, etc.

Down Under Design embroiders hats as well as garments. Hats can be embroidered on the front panels, back or sides. Your Customer Service Representative can advise you on the placement of your logo.
